Shirley Adkison, age 79, passed away at the family residence on Thursday, September 22, 2022, just eighteen days before her 80th birthday.  She was born in Lakeland, Florida, the daughter of Jessie Willard Jordan and Vera Bethel Dupree Jordan.

Among survivors are her husband of 65 years, JC Adkison, her sons, Jack Adkison, Jr (Sandy) of Forsyth, Georgia, and George Adkison (Heather) of Wicksburg, Alabama, and her daughters, Darlene Ellison, Sharon Webster, Jackie Wilczewski and Brenda “Bill” Webster (Clay), all of Darlington, Florida.  She is also survived by grandchildren, BJ Pridgeon, Cory Webster (Monica), Crystal Pastor (Erik), Josh Webster (Jeana), Jennifer Wilczewski (Rachel), Holly Carey (Craig), Christopher Wilczewski, Gracie Adkison, Grady Adkison, and great grandchildren, Nathan Johnson (Hannah), Julius Sampson, Braedon Pridgeon, Jesse Sampson, Morgan Martin, River Pridgeon, Ally Webster, Jaeyln Webster, Ezra Pastor, Evalynn Hamilton, Maddie White, Jaxen Webster.  Her brother, James Jordan of Mary Ester, Florida, her sister, Bonnie Sue Winborn (Ricky) of Geneva, Alabama, sister-in-laws, Myrtle Cook and Bernice Mitchem, and many special nieces, nephews, friends and church family also survive her.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Jessie Jordan and Vera Dupree Jordan, mother-in-laws, Essie Bell Adkison and Tinnie Jordan, father-in-law, Talmadge Adkison, brother-in-laws, Charlie Mitchem and Cleo Cook, sister-in-laws, Carol Jordan and Mavis Morris Mickle, and son-in-laws, Ray Webster and Teddy Wilczewski.

A time of visitation will be Thursday, September 29, 2022, at 10:00AM, with the funeral beginning at 11:00AM.   The visitation and service will take place at Outreach for Christ Church in Darlington, Florida, with Pastor Kenneth Hood and Reverend Curtis Manning officiating.  Burial will follow in the Adkison Family plot in Limestone Cemetery.
