Mary Leeann Hodges, age 61 passed away in the early morning hours Wednesday, September 22, 2021 in Sacred Heart on the Emerald Coast. She was born November 19, 1959 in Opp, Alabama the daughter of Jerry and Carol Ann Hodges. Leeann graduated from Walton High School with the Class of 1977. She attended Gulf Coast Junior College and later received certification from Kaplan University. For a time she was a substitute teacher at Paxton School, a job she loved and a job where her students loved her too. In later years, Leeann loved gardening and succulents were her favorite plants. She shared her passion for gardening with her grandchildren. Leeann loved Western movies and Donald Trump. She had a zest for living and treasured the moments she spent with her mother, children and grandchildren. Leeann's fierce personality, strong will to survive and faith in our Savior set an example for us all.
Leeann is survived by her husband, Bruce Infinger; her daughters, Rachael Earley, Jeri Lynn Clark and Leah Infinger; her mother, Carol Ann Hodges, her brother Henry Hodges and his wife Mary and her grandchildren, Isabella, Joseph, Levi, Journey, Jaxxon and Aubrey. A loving and supporting group of cousins and aunts also survive.
Floral arrangements are being accepted. A time of visitation will be Friday, September 24, 2021 from 2 until 4 P.M. in Jerry Evans Chapel. Covid Protection Protocol is suggested. Near the end of the visitation Reverend David Amason will bring a few words of hope and inspiration before leaving for the interment service in the Hodges Family Plot in Magnolia Cemetery where Leeann will be laid to rest beside her brother Hal and her father Jerry.
