Mrs. Jeanette King Howell, age 94 passed away at her home in Panama City early Friday morning. She was born January 26, 1926. in Mississippi the daughter of Charles James King, Sr. and Frankie Till King. Jeanette held the distinction of being the first female Chemist for the State of Florida. She had an avid interest in genealogy. She is predeceased by her sons Charles Wayne Howell and Mark Wade Howell and her brother Charles J. King, Jr. and wife Mary C. King and her nephews Charles J. King, III and Niles N. King, Sr.
Among survivors are her nephew Chris King and wife Penny, her niece Holly Kroland.and husband Allan; her great nieces and nephews, Chip King, Catherine Matthews(Wilbur), Niles King (Carla), Kristen King Howell, Sarah King (Ashley) and Daniel King. Numerous great nephews and nieces also surrive.
Floral arrangements are being accepted. Her family will serve as pallbearers. Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 26, 2020 at 1:00 in the evening in Jerry Evans Chapel with a Eulogy by her nephew Chris King. Burial will follow in the Howell Family Plot in Magnolia Cemetery.
