Obituary
Charles Wayne Wright, Age 78 of DeFuniak Springs passed away September 16 th, 2022. He was born June 11 th, 1944 in Pikeville, Kentucky. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at Cluster Springs Cemetery in DeFuniak Springs, FL. Charles served in the 31 st Armor Division in the Army from 1966-1968 and was a welder by trade. He enjoyed motorcycles, NASCAR, time with his family, and a good shot of bourbon! Charles was an active lifetime member, and pass commander of AMVETS Post 178 of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. Charles is preceded in death by his parents Lora Hall, Broas Wright, brother James Wright, brother Franklin Mullins, Jerry Ronald Wright, sons Gerald (Tina) Wright, Tony Wright, Charlie (Kandy) Wright, and Brett Sword. Charles is survived by longtime partner, Victoria Sword; his two daughters, Elizabeth (Kevin) Ricketts, Callie (Jeromey) Locklear; two sons, Chris Sword, Eric Sword; brother, Burley (Sharon) Wright; sister, Sheila Faye (Brad) Wright; grandchildren Tiffany Salvaggio, Brandy Wright, Terra (Steven) Sapp, Bryan Ricketts, Kevin (Justine) Ricketts, Kevin Flock, Karissa (Billy) Infinger, Toni Flock, Kallie (Jacob) Wright, Matthew (Faith) Bartlett, Taylor, Tara, Adrian, Daniel, Austin, Lily, Jordan, Briana, Matt, Emily Elijah, Kristin, Kaiden, Callee Sword, and (14) great grandchildren.
